A bit about me...
My path to becoming a psychologist was a bit of a winding one. I had long thought I would become a physician, but quickly realized that bodily fluids and internal organs were not for me! In addition, I was less interested in how the body worked, and more interested in how people worked. My natural curiosity about peoples' stories combined with finding others drawn to telling me their stories, led me to psychology where my love of understanding 'what makes people tick' found a home.
For 10 years, I worked in Alberta Health Services community mental health clinics before transitioning into private practice. In that time, I successfully treated adults with a broad range of complex mental health difficulties including depression, anxiety disorders, sleep problems, work stress, perfectionism, and relationship difficulties.

I'm often asked if being a psychologist is a depressing job. My answer - no! I truly love being a psychologist. It is a privilege to have others trust me with their vulnerable truths and it is exciting to watch people change, grow, and feel good about life again. I feel lucky to be able to connect with people about what really matters every day.
Mission
I am passionate about providing high quality, effective inidividual therapy that not only helps you feel better, but helps you stay better.

Style
My style has been described as warm, validating, authentic, and honest with a dash of humour. I work hard to be compassionate and non-judgmental, but also direct. I want you to learn to trust that I mean what I say and to feel safe to provide feedback about the therapy process at any time.
